1. the role of the antigens is to learn from the virus and create a way to become immune to the virus. 2. The role of the white blood cells is to help fight off the virus. They are basically the bodys army. 3. When you recover from the chicken pox your body has learned from the virus and produced an antigen that will repell the virus. But until you have a diferent disease or infection your body will still be prone to the virus because your body hasnt made an antigen to the virus. 4. When you get a shot it prepares you for the virus. In the shot is a weakened virus. This is so thatyour body will learn from the virus and produce an antigen. You wont get sick because the virus is very weak TIM> K
The role is to make sure that once a disease effects the immune system it knows that disease and protects the body from it if it trys to come back into the body again at another time. white blood cells literally eat virus-infected cells while fighting disease at the microscopic level. If you get another thing such as measles the white blood cells and immune system wont fight it off because they have not faught them off before so they will have to this time to prevent it from happening again. If you get a vaccination for the chicken pox its preventing it so it wont cause the person to be ill with it.
The role of the antigen or foreign substance in the immune response is to make sure later on the immune system will be able to fight off this disease, and it will no longer affect the body. The immune system will remember that disease and will fight it off next time it reenters the body. The white blood cells defend the body against both infectious diseases and foreign materials. Although the immune system fights off chicken pox, it will not protect you from getting another disease such as measles. This is because the white blood cells do not recognize this antigen yet, it is a new foreign substance. If you were to get a vaccination for chicken pox, you will not get the chicken pox again because the vaccination produces immunity to that certain disease.
